Website Marketing- Do You Use These 10 Emotive Words On Your Website

When you are telling one of your friends a new and interesting story, you stand before them, look them in the eye, and say, "You will love this…" You have their full attention, because you are talking directly to them and are about to give them information they will enjoy. Your Website must behave in a similar manner towards your visitors, if you wish them to promote their status from 'a casual, one-time visitor' to 'your active, returning customer'.

In the above opening paragraph, the words 'you' and 'your' were used 10 times, because they make the message personal and important to you; the reader.

The word 'YOU' is one of the most powerful words that you can use to attract the attention of your Website visitors and impart your message to them in a friendly and easily understood manner.

Another emotive word that not only attracts immediate attention, but also can quickly arouse interest and desire in targeted visitors, is the word 'NEW'. This is because we are conditioned to expect that a new product or service is going to be considerably better than the older version, and therefore one worth acquiring. Many of us also like to be the first to have something new, because it gives us the opportunity to show it to admiring friends.

The word 'FREE' has been successfully used in marketing for more than a hundred years and despite the abuse and over-use it has experienced on the Internet, it is probably the most important word that you can use on your Website. This is because we have not only become accustomed to downloading free content, but we also expect it and are frequently disappointed when none is offered.

You must offer something of value to your visitors as a free download, if you wish not only to retain their interest in your Website content, but also to carry out a positive action like registering for your newsletter, or making a purchase.

The word BECAUSE has been used five-times in the above paragraphs, and it is another strong word, which you can use with great success on your Website. It gives the visitor the reason for making a purchase or subscribing to a mailing list; and it can justify your preceding statement. For example, you may say, "This new product will increase your sales, because…" Your visitors want to know WHY you are special, unique, better, or different than others and using the word because can give them the answers they seek.

Your visitors will want to know exactly how they will BENEFIT from something before they take any action; even for a free download they will want some good reasons 'why' before they click on your 'call to action' link. You can even provide a list with the simple, but excellent, heading of 'Your Benefits', because this will quickly summarise why they should take action.

If you prefer not to use the word 'benefit', you must still provide full details of the benefits your visitors will enjoy before they will accept your offer.

It may well be the first viewing of your Website for most visitors, and one of the biggest hurdles you must overcome is establishing some form of credibility. TESTIMONIALS can go a long way towards providing some confidence in your visitors that your product or service can provide the benefits you promise. Written testimonials are excellent, but on today's hi-speed Internet, many visitors expect and enjoy audio and video testimonials from your customers.

The second item you can provide your visitors that will reinforce your credibility is your GUARANTEE. These come in many different forms, but a simple, easily understood, 'money-back' if not satisfied guarantee is often the best. In addition to providing a guarantee in writing, provide full details of exactly what they have to do in order to apply for a refund. Use simple language that they can easily read and understand.

The word NOW is a powerful call to action. When you make a 'call to action', always end it with the word 'now', because it can substantially increase your results.

Two other words that you must use on your Website are BUY and REGISTER, and you have to use them many times, because it is a proven fact that the more opportunities you provide for your visitors to act, the greater your response rate.

Do not be afraid to use the words, BUY NOW or REGISTER NOW on your Website, because if you have given them sufficient reasons to act your visitors will want to own your product, service, or newsletter subscription immediately. Once you have made them want it, let them have every opportunity to have it!

Do not be afraid of exposing yourself to the dangers of taking an order!

Once your visitor has taken positive action in response to your offer, ensure that the next page that opens is one that says THANK YOU! This is the very page that can determine whether your new customer becomes a 'returning customer' with repeat orders.

You can go a long way to ensuring they return with an excellent 'thank you' page, and perhaps a little unexpected gift as a positive token of your thanks. A surprise gift is the best gift of all, and is one they will remember. Your customer purchases and eBook or a software program from you and on your 'thank you' page you provide a link to an extra free download.

The first thing this customer is going to do is tell all their friends about your Website…and that action is viral marketing. Moreover, the unexpected gift is one of the best ways to be active with viral marketing, especially if you tell them that they can pass a copy onto their friends!

What is Buzz Marketing? Part III

Stuff like video postcards were really cool when they first came out, but now I'd rather just have a straight email. However, video postcards would have benefited tremendously through buzz marketing and perhaps even did.

Your whole sales strategy, however, should not be reliant upon buzz marketing. That should only be a part of it, and you should still use other advertising techniques. There will come a day when this new marketing tactic fails to work because it has become over-used. Once everybody is telling everybody else about the next 'best new thing', and Mavens are commonplace, then its effect will be diluted.

There is an ongoing discussion, even this early in its history, over the ethics of buzz marketing, especially if the Maven does not profess his or her interest in the product when approaching somebody. It could indeed be unethical if somebody approaches a stranger and strikes up a conversation with the sole purpose of extolling the virtues of the latest new magazine or movie. Should blogs and chat rooms be used for this style of marketing, and should not buzz marketing be regarded as spamming on blogs or in forums in exactly the same way as a physical advert placed on the page?

Many think it should be, and that people who visit these online communications portals with the sole intention of plugging a product should be identified and banned from them. Whatever you think of it, however, buzz marketing is here for the time being, so the next time a beautiful woman or great looking guy stops and starts chatting to you, it might not be for the purpose that you think.

Make Money Online - Is It Typical To "Get Rich Quick"?

There's one fact that all aspiring internet entrepreneurs can agree upon when trying to make money online: choosing a bona fide business opportunity can be tough. There are countless online money making programs claiming that you can "get rich quick" or "make money online while you sleep". All internet businesses that make outrageous claims do so for the sake of advertising. While many of these programs are a waste of time, others may have a lot sales appeal, and some of them really do have value. Simply put, your main goals are finding a product or service with real value and demand, and finding ways to make money with it online.

If you find an internet business opportunity that sounds like it may be promising, the first thing you'll want to do is research it. Internet forums are a great resource when trying to sift out a good opportunity among the scams and duds. You can connect with other internet business owners and entrepreneurs that will give feedback about different money-making opportunities that they've tried, which helps to dispel any early misjudgement, expose scams, and find out which programs are really helping people make money online. Many marketers use blogs to write about their experiences with certain internet business opportunities, as well.

There are several questions you should ask when researching an internet business opportunity. Are people making money online with this? Who owns the business? How exactly will I make my money? How big is the market? Is there a demand for this? Is this business ethical? The more you know, the better you feel about making a decision.

Be wary of the money making programs that aren't upfront with their background info and payment schemes. Information that's hidden isn't usually good, and is often the sign of a scam. While it's a controversial topic, I'd recommend that anybody steer clear of MLM or any type of pyramid scheme, since most of the earnings are passed up a chain to the company's owners and the first people that dove in. Does this sound like a business that wants to help a lot of people to make money online?

Is it possible to get rich quick with an internet business opportunity? While I can't say that it's impossible, the most widely accepted truth is that to make a lot of money online, you'll usually need more than just a day or two. Anybody with the will and desire can succeed online. This includes you. You need to set goals, manage time wisely, and focus on combining different marketing techniques to find the method that best helps you to make money online.

Traffic Building - Create Profits On-Line Double Speed

How many times have you asked yourself, "What can you do to double sales this month"?

Some people say there are only two ways to double sales!

Double your traffic or double your conversion, but if you already are experiencing shortage of responsive traffic how do you get that done.

Double your traffic - go ahead try to find a way to double your traffic - write twice as many ads, articles, buy twice as many leads, spend twice as much money, etc

  • 100 visitors per day = 2 sales per day = 2% conversion
  • 200 visitors per day = 4 sales per day = 2% conversion

Assume each sale = $20, each visitor can cost you $0.40 PPC to break even

Double your conversion rate - still a daunting task to try to double your conversion rate, it is doable, not easy but it can be done

  • 100 visitors per day = 2 sales per day = 2% conversion
  • 100 visitors per day = 4 sales per day = 4% conversion

Again each sale = $20, each visitor still costs $0.40, you break even at 2% conversion, and you earn a profit of $40 but you had to find a way to double your conversion from 2% to 4%

Creating Profits Online is the Best Approach:

Personally I recommend that you add article marketing to your campaign strategy, thus increasing your conversion rate by targeting the best quality leads at no outlay of cash - so you reduce your overall visitor cost.

Use Two (2) Pronged Approach:

  • reducing visitor cost to $.30 by adding quality leads from your articles, and minimizing your dependency on PPC visitors
  • increasing conversion rate by 1% is more easily attained, as the more responsive article leads will subsidize the PPC leads until you generate enough article leads too replace PPC leads totally

How It Works for You:

  • 3000 visitors per month = 60 sales per month = 2% conversion
  • 2000 visitors per month = 60 sales per month = 3% conversion
  • - The Gross Sale Income = $1200
  • 3000 visitors Cost $0.30 = $ 900 >> $ 300.00 Profit
  • 2000 visitors Cost $0.30 = $ 600 >> $ 600.00 Profit

1% Increased Conversion Rate - Doubles Your Create Profits Online Results.

Internet Marketing for Small & Medium Enterprises

Here's a step by step guide on how to market your business over the Internet.

1) You need a website that works for you.

We all know that the first step to going online is getting your own website. But it's important to know what you want from your website. Think of your website as another vehicle to generate revenue for you, and not just a pretty brochure.
Web design houses are a dime a dosen, and you can get freelancers who can design a website at very low costs.

But remember to ask yourself these questions before you part with your money:
Can the proposed website help to improve efficiency or relieve operational work?
What do I want my customers to do when they come to my website?
Does my website showcase my products or services accurately?
How simple will it be to update the website on my own?

If your potential web designer cannot guide you through this thought process, then you should think twice before hiring him. Experienced web usability consultants will be able to help you and make recommendations based on your business model. They may cost little more but remember, your website is an investment. Invest correctly in the beginning and your website will bring more business than you imagine.

2) You need to market your website online.

Now that your business exists on the web, the next step is to let people know of your existence. Only when people are aware of your website will they visit it, only when they visit your website will you be able to convert them into customers. High visibility means high traffic, and more traffic means more potential customers.

There are many methods to market and promote your website. You may choose to market your URL (i.e. your website address e.g. www.webspider.sg) through traditional advertising such as print ads, flyers and in-store promotions. These are viable methods but they tend to be more costly. Here are some cost-effective online marketing methods to consider:

a) Advertising on search engines

Advertising on search engines is one of the most cost-effective methods that increases the visibility of your website and generates more traffic. Advertisements on search engines appear when people search for a certain keyword that is related to your product/service and which you have targeted. These ads are usually at the top or on the right side of the page and labelled as 'sponsored links'.

These advertisements are cost-effective as you only have to pay for your ad each time someone clicks on it. To get started with this, you can approach a search engine marketing consultant to manage the whole advertising campaign for you. If you are Internet-savvy, you can actually try setting up and start a campaign on your own with Google.

Remember, you are free to set a daily/monthly budget that you are comfortable with. You can monitor the progress of your ads and measure your ROI before you decide to increase your budget.

b) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

This marketing concept is similar to advertising on search engines, but SEO involves the enhancement of the organic search engine ranking of your website. Organic rankings refer to search engine listings that cannot be paid for (unlike the sponsored listings), they are found on the left side of the page.

When your website is optimized for search engines, it means that your website will be listed on the first few pages of the search engines when someone searches for a keyword related to your product or service.

Why is it important to have high rankings on search engines?

90% of all internet users use search engines to look for products and services and 88% of which do not look past the first three result pages on the search engines. Therefore, in order to capture the attention of your potential customer, your website needs to be listed on the first three pages of the search engines. Otherwise? They will find your competitors!

SEO is a laborious and tedious process of making your website search engine-friendly and building links. It's probably worth your while to outsource it to the experts. However, SEO usually involves a significant amount of investment. Once again, beware of vendors who charge way below the market rate, unless you are certain of the results they can deliver. It could well be too cheap to be true.

WebSpider has come up with a payment scheme for SMEs that allows you to start at a very low cost and pay only when the traffic to your website increases.

3) Retain your potential customers through your website

Once new visitors arrive on your website, it is up to your website to retain them and hopefully, convert them into customers.

Does your website provide useful information?

Can visitors find the required information easily?

It is important that visitors find useful information fast, as internet users tend to have a very short attention span. If they don't find what they are looking for, they leave, and an opportunity is missed. Sometimes, visitors may not immediately purchase a product on your website but if they found your website useful, chances are, they will come back.

It is a good idea to have a option for visitors to register on your website for a newsletter or to join your mailing list. That way, you will be able to keep track of the prospects who visited your website. By keeping them in your mailing list and through regular communication, you can establish a relationship with your prospects, thus making it a lot easier to convert your prospects into customers.

In conclusion, it is vital to view your website as an investment. It can be tool that can generate leads and acquire new customers without you lifting a finger. It also opens the opportunity of reaching out regionally and globally to new customers. Your website is of little value to you unless you market it well. Internet Marketing is cost-effective and measurable, so you are able to track where your dollars are going to in order to make informed decisions.

Online Success - The Right Business Model Is THE Key!

Choosing the right Internet business model is not always easy. If you look around the Internet, you will notice that there are many kinds of business models. To be honest, most of the business models can be very profitable, but which one should you choose to start off your online business?

It's important to first look at the most popular types of business models available on the Internet…

The Content-Rich Website

The content site will always be a very profitable business model. This is because the Internet is all about information. If you provide quality information on your site, people will keep coming back! Many entrepreneurs monetize their content sizes by offering paid advertisement spaces or placing Adsense ads on their sites, where they earn money for every click that the links receive.

The Ecommerce Store

This is usually your traditional online store, which will often showcase of catalog of it's products that are available for sale. As an example, you can set up an ecommerce store that only sells fishing equipment, and nothing else. Nowadays, one can easily create an ecommerce store selling physical products by setting up shop at auction sites like eBay, which allow you to set up a store in a little under an hour.

The Digital Product Model

Digital products are products like ebooks, audio recordings and video presentations. The big advantage with these products is that they can be delivered instantly and automatically to your customer after payment. Digital products also cost very little too produce and does not require holding any inventory. In fact, stock is virtually unlimited since a digital product can be delivered over and over again with no additional expense. (No shipping costs – that's another big plus!)

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is perhaps the easiest of these businesses to start. Companies will pay you commissions if you can send them customers who buy products from them. Basically, you'll be provided with an affiliate link that you need to market, and whenever someone buys from your link, you get paid a commission. This means you do not have to hold any inventory, create any product, or do any customer service. All you have to do is market the product!

Have you seen the business models which excite you? Personally I went with affiliate marketing first, then on to digital products. But what may suit me may not suit you. For example, if you prefer to deal in tangible products, then the ecommerce store will be suitable for you. If you like creating a community, then a content-rich site can meet that purposes. Find out what your strengths and goals are, match them to a suitable business model!

3 Steps to Internet Marketing Success

Regardless of what types of products or services you decide to offer in your business, there are certain things you should do to insure your internet marketing success.

Follow these tips, and you'll make money much more quickly and build momentum in your internet marketing.

1. Get organized.
First, if you haven't decided already what products or services you want to sell, you need to start here. Although it sounds obvious, many jump on the internet with the intent of starting a business and making money without a thought about how they plan to it.

That's why it's so easy for these new business owners to fall prey to all the hype that's on the internet.

Decide what your interests are, and what you would enjoy doing. What do you like talking about? What would you do even if you knew you wouldn't make any money doing it?

Once you've written down several ideas, then do your keyword research. Find out if there is a market for what you want to do. Is it competitive?

Although you will have to work harder to make your business a success, it's worth it because you'll be doing something you enjoy.

Remember, only about two percent of the market is internet marketing. Billions of dollars are made on all types of products and services. You have lots of choices. Choose something you will enjoy doing.

2. Write your marketing plan.
Every marketing plan should include whether or not you plan to build a list or a website. These two elements are crucial because it's getting harder and harder to promote products without a website.

Building a list will help you cut your workload dramatically because you can build relationships with your list readers. You can send them other offers, as well as share valuable information.

If building a website isn't something you want to hassle with, you can build a lead capture page and make a simple one page website. Then, drive traffic to this page.

Without a website, many article directories won't allow you to submit articles that include affiliate links, even when those affiliate links are in the resource box of your article.

You should also include the different internet marketing techniques you plan to use.

This can include: search engine optimization, article writing, press releases, classifieds, joint ventures, or any other techniques.

If you are technically savvy, you can even include Web 2.0 techniques like making videos, or social bookmarking.

If you plan to use pay per click, include your a budget and know how much you can spend.

What techniques you choose to market your business will be determined by what type of business you choose, whether or not you plan to build a website, and what kind, and what techniques you want to use.

If you hate the thought of writing an article, no matter how effective, you won't do it.

Starting off, you should only use one or two marketing techniques and build on your success. Test and track until you find a marketing formula that works for you.

3. Write your marketing materials.
If you are selling affiliate programs, often the work is done for you. You can create an autoresponder series from articles or email messages the site owner may offer. Check to see what materials the site owner offers. They may also offer you free ebooks you can give away, as well as articles. This will cut your work dramatically.

If the site owner offers email messages, rewrite these in your own words. Add messages to the series. If articles are available, then add these to your series too.

Set up your autoresponder and lead capture page, if you choose to use one. Then, write your marketing materials and start driving traffic to this page.

Commit to doing something every day. Test and track your efforts. Add new marketing techniques. Bad marketing is better than no marketing. Building a business is a waste of time of you don't market.

Internet marketing success depends on how hard you're willing to work to get your business out there. Organize your marketing, do it consistently, and you will see success.

Searching For Clients? Search Like They Do

When is the last time you researched your area of expertise on the major search engines like Google or Technorati? This week I did a web search using key words and phrases people use when searching for information about ezine publishing. I was pleased that my blog came up first and second for some terms in Technorati, and in the top 10 for some terms in Google.

But I was disappointed that there were hundreds of articles on the topic of ezines in article directories, and only a few were mine. So I learned that I need to submit more articles about ezines to the article directories in order for people to find my business online.

Doing this research is time consuming…you can't help but get screen sucked for hours. There is a lot of garbage on the Web and a lot of splogs -- spam blogs that exist only for generating ad link revenue.

It makes you wonder how anybody searching on Google or Yahoo ever finds anything useful. If you are a professional and want clients to find your website, you have to know what key words your potential clients are using in their searches. What are their problems and how can you solve them? You have to put yourself in the shoes - or rather the brain - of your potential client. What words do you think they would type into Google when they are looking for a solution to their problem?

This takes a lot of time to do, and the end results are beneficial. It is now clear that I need to submit more short articles to the article directories on ezine topics so people can find my websites and blogs more easily.

Here's your tip: use the search engines to discover if you're "findable" on the web. Then create content where needed. You may need a blog with lots of blog posts on your key topics. Or, like me, you may need to submit more short articles to directories.

More reasons to do the search: Find out who your competitors are and what they are up to. Then, model what they do, only do it better.

Website Marketing Strategies - A Beginners Guide to Website Marketing Strategies

One of the most important parts about building a website is website marketing strategies, which is what will bring readers or consumers to your site.

For someone who does not have a lot of experience with marketing, this task can be severely terrifying, but luckily it has become easier than ever to learn about marketing strategies. You can market your website, you can drive traffic to your business, and you can improve your sales! There's no need to be afraid!

First Step: Keyword research should be the absolute first thing on your mind. Do not create your web site until you have done research on relevant keywords relating to your business. Find out which keywords are being searched for, and choose the ones that relate to your business or the product that you are offering.

Once you know what consumers are looking for, you can model your website to fit the keywords that are being searched for but that have the least possible competition, and that is what will drive traffic to your site!

Second Step: Create your website around your chosen keywords! Once you know which keywords you are planning to use, keyword-rich content can be written for each one. Your website should be built around these content pages, in order to make sure that your entire website is riddled with useful and relevant keywords.

You should not simply spam your webpages with your keywords, because most search engines are smart enough not to fall for it. But if your webpages have well-written content with relevant keywords, and you will have excellent chances for search engines to pick your webpages up, attracting all kinds of new visitors to your website.

Third Step: Design the actual site, now that the content has been written. Now that the bulk of your website has been put together, you can put together the design of your site in a clean and functional way. Avoid large graphics and any extras that may make your website load more slowly. You should also make sure that all JavaScript and HTML errors are removed. Now that your website is error-free and loading fast, marketing your online business will be much easier!

Fourth Step: Gain links to your website, by getting your website listed in as many major web directories as possible. Most search engines only give good rankings to websites that have many different links to them.

Once your website has been listed in some of the top-ranking search engines, you should work on finding other websites in the same niche as yours to see if anyone is willing to trade links with you. Exchanging links with other similar niche sites will help your search engine ranking, and will help you meet other niche businesses on the web.

Fifth Step: Bring targeted visitors to your website now, instead of waiting for the search engines to index your sites. Google AdWords may help you accomplish this, by helping to advertise your website by bringing traffic to your website based on your keywords.

For most niches, the quality of traffic that AdWords brings is excellent, and you will see visitors as early as thirty minutes after signing up for your new Google AdWords account.

Marketing an online business really is not difficult, as long as you follow all of the steps as outlined above.

Bring Traffic by Leaving Comments

One of the best way to bring traffic to your website is by leaving comments on other people's blogs. There is another reason why you should start leaving comments. Comments can increase the link popularity of your website. Amazing right? Some people are abusing this method and getting banned by search engines. I'm going to tell you how you can use the method effectvely.

1) You need to find blogs that are relevant to your website. If your website deals with stocks, then you have to find blogs that talk about stocks. If you use blogs that are not relevant to your website, leaving comments is just a waste of time. I have left comments on blogs that are not relevant to my blogs before, and it only have negative effect on my PR. So Do not Do it. You will regret.

2) Read post on people's blogs first. You have to know what posts are talking about. Then you can leave legitimate comments. Make the comments anywhere from 15 to 50 words. You don't have to leave an article. Few lines that other visitors want to read about.

3) Before submmiting your comments, make sure you put your website address so you will be indexed. If you use anchor texts to link back to your website, it is more effective. When choosing anchor text, make sure that texts are relevant to your website.

Using the method can be very effective, just remember do not spam on someone's blog. Make sure that pulishers want to read your comments.
